The Diamond Rehab Thailand

A twelve-bungalow residential centre in the hills above Hua Hin, each client in a private pool villa, at Thai prices rather than Swiss ones.

About The Diamond Rehab Thailand

Capacity is the defining fact here: twelve clients at most, each in a private pool bungalow, with no shared rooms anywhere on the property. The centre sits on a gated plot at Hin Lek Fai, roughly 3 km west of Hua Hin town and about three hours by road from Bangkok. The clinical model is a Minnesota-model foundation extended with CBT, DBT, EMDR and psychodynamic work, wrapped in mindfulness, yoga, gym, sauna, ice bath, weekly massage and weekly excursions. One consultant psychiatrist covers assessment and medication, three nurses provide 24-hour cover, and a supervising psychologist oversees addiction counsellors whose primary published qualification is long-term personal recovery. Clients may take the shared weekly schedule or a fully individual one. The fee is all-inclusive apart from detox medication, hospital visits and specialist fees, which are billed separately. No accreditation by any accrediting body was found, and the Ministry licence the clinic states carries no number and no retrievable register entry.

Clinic overview

Capacity
The clinic states that it is strictly capped at 12 clients, each in a private pool bungalow, with no shared rooms. No register records a capacity, and the average census is not published.
Staff per client
The homepage states a 2:1 staff-to-client ratio and 35 specialised staff. The clinic's own landing domain states a 1:4 ratio and over 50 staff, and the published team directory names 17 people, three of whom are non-treating medical writers. Three figures, no reconciliation.
Licence
The clinic states that it is officially licensed by the Thailand Ministry of Public Health and that it is not a hospital. No licence number is published, and no entry was located on a public Thai register, so the licence class rests on the clinic's own statement. UnverifiedStated by the clinic, not yet confirmed by an independent source
Payment and insurance
Self-pay. No insurer is named as a contracted payer anywhere on the site, although insurer marks appear in the homepage logo strip. Valid health insurance is mandatory before admission, and the published policy states that without it the facility accepts no responsibility for medical, hospital or emergency costs.
Length of stay
The core programme is 28 days. The clinic states that six to eight weeks in treatment is average, and offers programmes of twelve weeks and longer that carry a relapse guarantee.

28-Day Residential Programme

28 days

USD 12,450 to USD 14,450 on the homepage; the cost page publishes no figure

The core product. A private pool bungalow, three prepared meals a day, initial and follow-up psychiatric assessment, three one-to-one sessions a week with a clinical psychologist or counsellor, daily psycho-educational and therapeutic groups, a comprehensive health screening, weekly massage, twice-weekly yoga, daily gym, sauna and ice bath access, a weekly outing, airport transfers and aftercare planning.

Extended Residential

Six to eight weeks

On quotation

The clinic's own stated average length of stay, on its stated view that 28 days rarely consolidates change in entrenched dependence. The same weekly structure runs over a longer arc, which is the format it recommends where a significant co-occurring condition sits underneath the presenting substance problem.

12-Week-Plus Programme

Twelve weeks or more

On quotation

Completion at twelve weeks or beyond qualifies a client for the clinic's relapse guarantee: a relapse within a year of discharge entitles the client to a 28-day refresher course at no further cost, alongside free weekly alumni video groups. It is the only track carrying a published commitment of any kind.

Medically Supervised Detox

Clinically determined, usually the opening days of a residential stay

Included in the programme fee; detox medication is expressly excluded and billed separately

Alcohol and prescription-drug withdrawal management under psychiatric direction with 24-hour nursing cover, delivered in the client's own bungalow. There is no hospital licence, so anything requiring inpatient medical stabilisation goes off site, and hospital visits are billed outside the fee.

Executive Burnout Programme

Typically 28 days, flexible

On quotation

A burnout-framed presentation of the residential track for senior professionals, defaulting to the individual rather than the shared weekly schedule. The substantive difference from the core programme is scheduling and privacy rather than clinical content.

Mental Health and Eating Disorder Tracks

28 days upward

On quotation

Depression, PTSD and trauma, anxiety, insomnia, anorexia, bulimia and overeating are each presented as a distinct retreat. In substance these are the same residential programme with a modified therapy mix. No separate eating-disorder unit, refeeding protocol or medical stabilisation capability is published.

Our assessment

Two independent platforms agree closely on both count and rating: a Google Business listing at 4.7 from 52 reviews and an independent treatment directory at 4.7 from 59, both retrieved on 8 September 2026. That consistency is a good signal and gives no indication of manufactured reviews. Volume is modest for a centre of this age, and no Trustpilot profile was found. Three provenance problems are the clinic's own. The homepage states a rating of 5 out of 5 on a directory whose published figure is 4.7, and a Google rating of 4.9 against a published 4.7. The clinic's own Google Business description carries the unsupported superlative of being the number one luxury rehab in Thailand, which no ranking body, register or independent assessment supports.

No tier-one press coverage was found. A bylined local report of 11 January 2026 covers a clinic announcement without describing the premises or the care. Two listicles that place the clinic first are a sponsored partner-content item and an undated guide describing no vote, criteria or methodology, although the homepage presents the second as a vote.

None verified. No award from a clinical or accrediting authority is claimed or found.

Facility

A gated boutique property at Hin Lek Fai, in the hills west of Hua Hin, roughly 3 km from the town centre and a short drive from the Gulf coast. Accommodation is twelve private bungalows, each with its own pool. There are no shared rooms and no dormitory. Shared amenities are a gym, a sauna, an ice bath, a yoga and meditation pavilion, therapy and session rooms, a communal dining area and a non-alcohol social space that also houses the client suggestion box. Grounds are landscaped and tropical. The clinic publishes a self-hosted 360-degree tour covering the pool area, a bungalow, the meeting room, the gym and the dining area, which is unusual candour about physical space at this price. Off-site programming uses the coast, hiking trails, horse riding, golf and snorkelling. Room dimensions and plot size are not published. Bangkok is roughly three hours by road, so arrival is slower than for a Bangkok property; transfers from Bangkok are included in the fee and flights are not.

Food

A named head chef is on staff and the fee covers three prepared meals a day. Food is the element most consistently praised in the independent review base. Against that, no dietitian or nutritionist appears anywhere in the published team, no nutrition assessment, personalised plan, dietary testing or allergy protocol is described, and no culinary credential is published for the chef. The clinic's phrase for its catering is gourmet nutrition tailored to recovery, which describes no clinical plan. Hygiene is covered only by the Ministry licence the clinic states; no food-safety certification is published.

Privacy

single occupancy per residence

Each of the twelve clients occupies a private pool bungalow, so single occupancy per residence holds, and one-to-one therapy runs three times a week. Clients on the shared weekly schedule nonetheless meet each other daily in psycho-educational and therapeutic groups, at communal meals, in the gym and on weekly outings. An individual rather than shared schedule is offered, which narrows contact, but the property has one dining area, one gym and one set of shared amenities, so a no-contact environment is not architecturally guaranteed, and the clinic does not claim one. What is genuinely strong is the published confidentiality policy. Records are released only to the client, and payment by a third party does not entitle that party to access them, which is a real protection for a client whose family office or employer is paying. Staff sign a confidentiality agreement and intake is described as confidential and available 24 hours. One live exposure belongs in plain sight: psychiatric sessions are video recorded. The clinic attributes this to a Thai legal requirement and states that recordings are deleted at discharge. No storage location, encryption standard, access-control list, retention log or deletion-verification procedure is published. Anyone for whom exposure is the primary risk should get written answers on all four points before signing.

Public-evidence total: 43

The sum of the ten criterion scores, from 10 to 100, using evidence anyone can check, including the clinic's own pages as self-declared statements. For the licence element of C2 only, it can also use an authority ruling held in our sealed evidence room. It is the only number used for the rank.

C1 Client separation and occupancy · 4

Each client has a private pool bungalow, and a written policy bars a third-party payer from access to the client's records. Clients are brought together daily by three group lectures, communal dining and shared gym, pool and reception areas, so bands 6 and above, which require no group therapy, are closed. Band 5 needs 10 or fewer clients on site, which is not established. No separately priced sole-occupancy tier is published, and no capacity contradiction deduction applies.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • The number of clients on site is not published.
Sources (3 cited items):
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The clinic states two schedules, shared weekly and fully individual, and private bungalows.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The FAQ daily schedule sets two lectures after breakfast and a third group lecture after lunch, with an afternoon walk or beach meditation.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: Client records are confidential and released only to the client directly; payment by a third party does not entitle that party to access confidential records.
C2 Clinical governance and medical cover · 5

A consultant psychiatrist is named for this site, the clinic states 24/7 doctor and clinical team availability, which meets overnight physician cover including on-call cover, and detox is medically supervised in the client's bungalow with round-the-clock nursing. The Thai Ministry of Public Health licence rests on the clinic's own statement, and the Thai register routes returned errors or refused the connection, so licensing is scored as absent and band 5 is the ceiling. No physician medical director is named, since the clinical lead is a psychologist, no receiving hospital is published, and the clinic is absent from JCI, CARF, AACI and the Thai HA list.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • The Thai register routes were unreachable, so licensing is unresolved rather than disproved.
Sources (8 cited items):
C3 Diagnostic depth on admission · 8

Six assessment elements are met: the medical team reviews the client's history before the bungalow is secured, a named consultant psychiatrist carries out initial and follow-up assessment, a comprehensive laboratory panel is included in every programme, the clinic's doctors perform a full check-up on arrival, the policies page states that recordings may be reviewed by licensed Thai psychiatrists to support prescriptions, and an ECG is available as an optional extra. The ECG counts as a specialist cardiac diagnostic in the residential pathway even though it is billed outside the fee.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • No written diagnostic formulation delivered to the client is published.
Sources (6 cited items):
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: Admission runs as a confidential consultation then clinical and travel clearance: the medical team reviews the client's history to ensure safety, and the bungalow is secured once approved.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: Initial and follow-up assessment with a psychiatrist, and a comprehensive health screening in every programme covering blood pressure, BMI, complete blood count, fasting blood glucose, lipid profile, kidney and liver function, inflammation markers and urine examination.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: A psychiatric evaluation and a clinical assessment set the recommended length of stay.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The policies page states that psychiatric consultations are video recorded under Thai law and that the recordings "may be reviewed by licensed Thai psychiatrists when required to legally support prescriptions."
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The cost page lists "Extended medical assessment with ECG (optional, if necessary)" among the items outside the fee.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: On arrival the client receives a full check-up by the clinic's medical doctors, and medically supervised detox begins in the bungalow with round-the-clock nursing where needed.
C4 Clinical intensity · 4

Clients receive three one-to-one sessions a week with a clinical psychologist or counsellor, with no session length published, against three group lectures a day, so groups take well over three quarters of scheduled clinical sessions and the group-share cap of 4 applies. The published team of one psychiatrist, three psychologists or psychotherapists, three counsellors and three nurses is pooled across all clients. Length of stay is extendable, so no fixed-package cap applies.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • Individual session length is not published.
Sources (3 cited items):
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: Three one-to-one sessions a week with a clinical psychologist or counsellor, a 28-day core programme, and longer options priced by duration.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The homepage states three specialised sessions a week and that six to eight weeks in treatment is average, and the FAQ sets two lectures after breakfast and a third group lecture after lunch.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The published team is one consultant psychiatrist, one clinical supervisor and psychologist, one psychotherapist, three addiction counsellors and three nurses.
C5 Continuity and aftercare · 6

Five aftercare elements are met: a comprehensive aftercare plan, inclusion in the fee, continuing video sessions with the focal counsellor, named aftercare partners abroad depending on where the client lives, and free weekly video meetings with former clients. No aftercare duration, six-month structure, post-discharge psychiatric review, in-person step-down or family aftercare is published, and the discharge section of the policies document describes a medical discharge check-up only. The free refresher course after relapse is a readmission benefit, not aftercare.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Sources (3 cited items):
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: A comprehensive aftercare plan is included in clinical and therapeutic services, and relapse within a year of discharge after a twelve-week minimum stay entitles the client to a full refresher course at no cost.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The FAQ offers weekly video meetings with the client's focal counsellor, aftercare partners around the world depending on where the client lives, and a free weekly video meeting with former clients.
  • The Diamond Rehab Thailand: The policies document's discharge section describes checkout and a medical discharge check-up only, with no aftercare period stated.
C6 Admission integrity and commercial conduct · 3

One kind of violation is found on two counts: the homepage shows a newspaper logo whose only matching item is labelled sponsored partner content and ranks the clinic first, and a homepage headline presents a listicle as a vote although the listicle describes no vote, criteria or method. No positive signal is met: the price is settled case by case, no referral-fee position is published, the only stated exclusion is an age bar rather than a policy of referring unsuitable admissions, and no voluntary-admission policy covers third-party arrangements.

Result: sweep recorded; outcome per the C6 V elements.
C7 Transparency toward the client · 3

Three transparency elements are met, which gives band 4 before deductions: itemised fee inclusions and exclusions, payment and refund terms (50 percent on reservation, the balance plus a USD 500 deposit on arrival), and the clinic's regulatory status as licensed by the Thai Ministry of Public Health as a private addiction rehabilitation center. One contradiction deduction applies: the cost page states the 72-hour refund unconditionally, while the live policies page makes it conditional on no breach having occurred, which are two different terms for the same refund. No extension terms, licence number, company registration number, owner, external complaints body, data controller or retention period is published.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • The conditional refund wording on the policies page is not captured verbatim in a linked evidence item.
  • The regulatory status element rests on the clinic's own licence statement, which could not be confirmed on a register.
  • The element reading for this criterion is not published as a list; the band is explained in the reasoning.

C8 Track record and regulator standing · 5

English-language court and web searches found no court, police or licence outcome against the operator and no allegation. No inspection record was retrievable because the Thai registers were unreachable. C9 Environment, safety and nutrition · 4

C9 is the mean of a housing score of 5 and a nutrition score of 2, which is 3.5, rounded half up to 4. Housing credits on-site sessions and detox, a medical room, private pools, gyms, spa and yoga areas, a substance-free rule with medication distributed by medical staff only, and set visiting hours. A travel time to a verified 24-hour emergency department was derived but was computed from a town-centre point, not the published residence address, so it is not credited; crediting it would raise housing to 6 without changing the total. Nutrition rests on meals being provided, with a named Head Chef and no nutrition professional.

No clinician in a core role is verified on a register, so the core figure is zero and the non-core contribution is capped at zero. The Consultant Psychiatrist on the team page has no match on the Medical Council of Thailand register and presents a Sri Lankan registration instead. The one physician confirmed on the Thai register, with psychiatry and family medicine specialties, appears only on a profile page the team page does not link, at non-core involvement. No registration number is published for any team member, and the facility licence is not proven.

Frequently asked questions

What does treatment at The Diamond Rehab cost?

The homepage publishes USD 12,450 to USD 14,450 for a four-week programme, all-inclusive of a private pool bungalow, three prepared meals, psychiatric assessment and follow-up, three weekly one-to-one sessions, daily groups, a health screening, weekly massage, twice-weekly yoga, daily gym, sauna and ice bath, a weekly outing, Wi-Fi, airport transfers and aftercare planning. The dedicated cost page publishes no figure at all and states that the specific figure is discussed directly, so what a prospective client sees depends on which page they land on. Excluded and billed separately: flights to Bangkok, detox and other medications, hospital visits, specialist doctor fees and travel insurance. Payment is 50 percent on reservation and 50 percent plus a USD 500 incidentals deposit on arrival. A 50 percent refund applies only within 72 hours of admission, and the policy states that after 72 hours no refund is provided in any circumstance.

Where is the clinic and how do you get there?

At 8, Moo 14, Soi Mon Mai, Hin Lek Fai, in the hills roughly 3 km west of Hua Hin town on the Gulf of Thailand. Hua Hin is a quiet resort town about three hours by road from Bangkok, and transfers from Bangkok are included in the fee. Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, which runs a 24-hour trauma and emergency centre, is roughly 5 km away, though the clinic publishes no emergency transfer protocol and names no receiving hospital. Despite third-party directory listings claiming otherwise, there is no verified Phuket facility: the clinic's own contact page and full sitemap contain no Phuket address, phone number or facility page.

Who is the clinic designed for?

Adults wanting a small, private, resort-standard residential setting for substance dependence, behavioural addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, burnout or an eating disorder, with an emphasis on English-speaking clients from Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom and North America. Capacity is capped at twelve and an individual weekly schedule is available instead of the shared programme. It is not suitable for anyone needing acute medical stabilisation or hospital-level psychiatric care, and it does not offer a guaranteed no-contact environment.

How does admission work?

Enquiry runs by phone across five international lines, by messaging app or by email, with intake described as confidential and available 24 hours. The clinic's medical team reviews the client's history for safety, and the bungalow is secured once that review is approved; the specific fee is then agreed directly rather than taken from a published tariff. Valid health insurance must be in place before admission, and the published policy states that without it the facility accepts no responsibility for medical, hospital or emergency costs. On arrival the client receives a full check-up by the clinic's doctors and a health screening, and medically supervised detox begins in the bungalow where indicated. No waiting time is published.

What aftercare is provided?

A comprehensive aftercare plan sits inside the programme fee. Former clients may join a free weekly video meeting with other alumni, and weekly video sessions with the client's focal counsellor are offered; the clinic also names aftercare partners in other countries and can hand over to them. No aftercare duration or minimum is published, and no post-discharge psychiatric review or medication management is described. Clients who complete twelve weeks or more and relapse within a year are entitled to a 28-day refresher course at no further cost, which is a readmission guarantee rather than a step-down programme. The clinic's own stated position is that six to eight weeks is the average it recommends, so anyone booking the headline 28-day programme should treat it as the opening phase.
