Corrections and feedback

How treatment centres correct a published fact, appeal an integrity finding or comment on proposed rule changes. Every accepted correction is published; nothing is changed quietly.

We publish every score with its reasoning and sources so that mistakes can be found. If you find one about your centre, tell us. Nothing we publish is changed quietly: every accepted correction is listed openly.

Correct a fact

Use a correction request when a published fact about your centre is wrong or out of date: a licence we could not find, a price that has changed, a clinician who has left or joined, a page we misread.

Include:

  • the record you are correcting (the centre, the criterion, and the evidence item if you know it);
  • what is wrong and what is correct;
  • evidence: an official record, a corrected page on your own site, or a document we can verify.

What happens next

  1. Filing a request changes nothing by itself. We review it.
  2. If it raises a real question, the evidence concerned is marked disputed on your record and stops counting until resolved.
  3. We resolve it on evidence: a new official record, a corrected page on your own site, or a verified document. A statement from the centre alone never removes a finding that appears on an official record.
  4. The outcome is recorded as accepted, partially accepted, rejected or withdrawn.
  5. If a score or rank changes, the change is published in the errata log with its reason. A published ranking is never edited; a corrected version is published alongside it, and the original stays visible.

Where public records and your information disagree. The public record counts until the conflict is resolved by evidence. If an official record is out of date, show us that you have asked its owner to correct it, with a verified document showing the current facts.

Findings on record. A court or regulator finding stays on record until the forum's own record shows a later outcome (reversal, dismissal, settlement). Send us that record. Allegations without a final outcome are never stated as fact and score nothing.

Appeal an integrity finding

If we find that evidence about your centre was misrepresented or manipulated, we notify you with the evidence we relied on (except what must be withheld to protect a third party's privacy).

  • You may appeal within 30 days of notification, stating your grounds and supplying evidence.
  • The appeal is decided by a person who took no part in the original finding.
  • We aim to decide within 30 days of a complete appeal.
  • While the appeal is open, a public integrity note is marked "under appeal".
  • The outcome, and any effect on your score, is published on your record.

Comment on the rules

The criteria change only through public change proposals. Each proposal is published with its reasons and the exact text changes, and for larger changes is open for 30 days of public comment. Anyone may comment, centres included. Comments are published unless they contain personal data, and the decision responds to substantive comments.

A rule change never applies retroactively: it takes effect from a stated date, at least 14 days after it is published.
