Zurich,
Private residential psychiatry and addiction treatment in a leased villa or apartment, with one admitted client per residence.
THE BALANCE builds each residential programme around a single admitted client in a private leased residence rather than in a ward or on a campus. A multidisciplinary core team covering psychiatry, medicine, psychotherapy, nutrition and somatic work is assembled per case and travels to the client, supported by a live-in personal manager, a private chef and hospitality staff. The clinical model layers trauma-informed psychotherapy with biochemical restoration, micronutrient medicine and neurobiological intervention. Founded in 2018, the group now runs residential treatment in Mallorca and Zurich alongside a group-based programme and a healthspan programme. It is unusually explicit in print about the limits of its own model, publishing what it is not, with no emergency department, no acute medical hospital and no inpatient psychiatric unit, alongside what it is. Its own pages also state that the professional-body logos it displays are individual practitioner memberships rather than institutional accreditation.
The team page names roughly 120 to 130 people across clinical, somatic, complementary, nutrition, personal support and business functions, pooled across the group's locations and including large panels of sessional practitioners.

No registration number is published for any clinician. The clinic states that the professional-body logos it displays belong to individual practitioners, but it does not publish the registrations themselves.
Four to eight weeks recommended, extendable
CHF 90,000 per week
The flagship programme. A private residence is leased for one admitted client and staffed by a dedicated core team covering psychiatry, medicine, psychotherapy and nutrition, plus a live-in personal manager and a private chef. Treatment is structured but not a fixed timetable, and duration is set after assessment and reviewed.
Four to twelve weeks
CHF 35,000 per week
A deliberately small group residential programme, combining individual treatment with the peer dynamics of a therapeutic community. This is the group pathway inside the network, and clients on it do meet one another. The clinic frames it as a different purpose rather than a lower service tier.
One or two weeks
From CHF 60,000 per week
A private healthspan and preventive-medicine programme for medically stable adults, built on the group's functional and micronutrient medicine capability rather than on psychiatric admission. It is not a treatment pathway for acute mental illness or dependency.
Typically 7 to 14 days as a first phase
Within the residential weekly fee
Medically supervised withdrawal delivered in the residence with external hospital coordination, under a qualified prescriber. Availability depends on the location: the Zurich page states that the Zurich site does not provide medical detoxification or inpatient psychiatric treatment, so this pathway runs in Mallorca.
Short stay
Not published separately
A multidisciplinary diagnostic and planning stay producing a written recommendation of pathway and duration, without commitment to a full residential admission. The written proposal is the authoritative record of scope, and the clinic states that the ability to fund treatment does not guarantee admission.
Three months included, extendable
Three months included in the residential fee, then quoted
Case management and continuing support delivered in the client's home country after discharge, with clinical handover, coordination with local clinicians, a named local prescriber and a planned review. The individual plan defines frequency, format, roles, jurisdictional availability and limits.
The on-platform review base is small, 16 Google reviews across the two locations, but it reads as genuine, with a mix of tone and no burst pattern. One commercial directory shows a review count that is the platform-wide figure rather than this clinic's, an aggregate artefact recorded here as a provenance problem and not used as evidence. The material caveat is owned media: the group publishes a directory site that carries an article ranking this clinic the best luxury rehab centre in the world. That is the group ranking itself on its own property. It is not independent review and it is not cited, linked or used as a source anywhere in this profile.

Coverage is substantial and mostly serious. Swiss broadsheets have run a long feature, a podcast episode and a founder profile, a German business podcast has run a founder interview, and a wealth-title index names the clinic among its 2026 wellbeing and rehabilitation centres. The clinic's own press page lists a long roster of international outlets. Coverage is not uniformly positive: Swiss press reports critics accusing the clinic of exorbitant pricing and of profiting from the suffering of wealthy people, and questioning the effectiveness of very rapid, very expensive therapy. Reported throughput is 70 to 80 clients a year. A bylined first-hand report from June 2025, written after a journalist stayed 48 hours, describes fincas, a pool, therapy rooms, private chefs and assistants, psychiatric assessments under the psychiatrist medical director, and nutritional diagnosis sessions, with no adverse finding.
No independently adjudicated clinical award was found. Inclusion in a wealth-title index is editorial recognition, not accreditation.
There is no single flagship building. The clinic leases private villas, fincas and apartments and matches one to each admitted client, selecting on clinical need, availability, access, practical requirements and the agreed level of privacy. Mallorca residences are finca-style and villa properties with outdoor space, pool and sea or countryside access; the admissions address sits on the Palma seafront. Zurich residences are private apartments near the lake shore, with the specific neighbourhood confirmed only before admission. Amenities cited across residences include a private pool, gym equipment, garden and terrace, beach access, a private chef kitchen, a chauffeur and space for a companion. The model buys privacy and flexibility at the cost of verifiability: no floor plans, no residence count and no images of the actual treatment properties are published, and the clinic states that website photography should be understood as representative unless a specific property has been confirmed. Facility quality therefore cannot be independently confirmed and will vary property to property.
A private chef is assigned to the residence and cooks to an agreed nutritional framework, accommodating preferences, allergies and cultural needs, with meals timed to medication, sleep and clinical appointments. Nutrition is handled as clinical rather than hospitality work: six nutritionists are named on staff, and the group runs a biochemical restoration and micronutrient medicine line with laboratory profiling feeding into the meal plan. The clinic bounds the chef's role carefully, stating that the chef does not independently diagnose nutritional needs, prescribe supplements or change a specialist eating-disorder plan. Not published: any named gourmet chef or culinary credential, and there is no on-site restaurant. This is private-household cooking with strong clinical nutrition behind it.
single occupancy per residence
Against the project's three readings of client separation, this clinic meets the second: single occupancy per residence. Its own wording is per programme and per residence rather than per institution, and its FAQ says so outright, stating that the wider institution may support other clients through separate teams, residences, locations or stages of care, and that a dedicated residence reduces exposure to unrelated clients. That is a reduction claim, not a no-contact guarantee. The group also runs a group-based therapeutic community programme in the same locations, where clients meet one another by design. In May and June 2025 international entertainment media reported that two public figures had been admitted to the Mallorca site; no name is carried here, and no evidence was found that the clinic was the source of the reports. Reporting in June 2025 stated that court documents in an employment suit brought against one of them referred to a stay at the clinic; those claims carried no allegation or finding against the clinic and had not been adjudicated. The controls the clinic does publish are genuinely strong: privacy is treated as an operating function with named owners for clinical confidentiality, data protection, communications, residence access, transport and physical security. Clients nominate authorised contacts and specify per contact what may be disclosed, so family members or payers do not automatically get clinical access. Visitors are not admitted merely because they are family or advisers. Clinical records travel only over approved secure channels, and specialist protective security is contracted in writing. The clinic publishes no client testimonials, deliberately, and states plainly that confidentiality is not absolute and can be broken by safeguarding duties, court orders and mandatory reporting.
Headline basis: Public evidenceThe headline number is the public score, not the extended score., LROAS 1.0.0, edition 2026-10-01
Public-evidence total: 46
The sum of the ten criterion scores, from 10 to 100, using evidence anyone can check, including the clinic's own pages as self-declared statements. For the licence element of C2 only, it can also use an authority ruling held in our sealed evidence room. It is the only number used for the rank.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium. ProvisionalA check was still open when the edition closed, for example a register lookup or a video not yet received, or evidence under embargo.: C10.
The standard offer is the private villa at CHF 90,000 a week, organised around one admitted client per residence with no group therapy in the flagship programme, which gives a base of band 8. Arrival separation, unshared therapy space and individual transport are not all shown, so the band above is not reached. One point is deducted because a bylined June 2025 report describes residences where more than one client can stay and a session practised by clients together, against the clinic's statement that no unrelated second client is admitted to the same residence, giving band 7. The semi-private shared villa at CHF 70,000 per client per week is a cheaper, separately priced option, not the standard offer, and does not re-base the band or add a deduction.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
The clinic states institutional healthcare authorisation in Zurich and the Balearic Islands without a licence number or register reference. The only Mallorca register entry is a non-inpatient specialised centre with psychiatry services at a consulting-room address in Palma, which does not cover residential care in the villas, and no Zurich licence record is public, so the licensing element is absent and the band cannot exceed 5. Psychiatric care by a named psychiatrist is established, and one further element is met. Round-the-clock physician or psychiatrist cover is not established, detox is not on site, no escalation hospital is named and no accreditor register entry exists, which gives band 4.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
Three elements are met: a staged suitability review by clinical leadership before admission, a psychiatric and medical assessment included in the fee, and a published scope for both with prescribing reserved to a qualified prescriber. Laboratory tests, examinations and imaging are arranged externally when indicated rather than as a standing protocol. No written formulation for the client is published, so the band above is not reached.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
No session count or clinical hours figure is published, but the clinic states one individual clinical team per client, which is what this band requires, and the flagship programme delivers no group hours. Round-the-clock clinical presence in the residence is not established, since availability and on-call arrangements are stated to differ by role and overnight staffing is not addressed. That keeps the clinic at band 4.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
Six aftercare elements are met, including a defined period of structured contact: three months of personalised continuing care is included in the fee, arranged before discharge, with handover to referrers covering formulation, medication and risk, selected follow-up, family work within consent and a named local prescriber. Delivery by the same team, post-discharge psychiatric review by the clinic and six months or more of contact are not published, so the band above is not reached.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
Two violations are found, one of them addressed to AI systems, which gives band 1. Two directory sites, clinicalrecovery.org and luxuryrehabgcc.com, share account-level technical markers with the clinic's own sites (a byte-identical ahrefs verification token and a shared Cloudflare DMARC report mailbox), name no publisher and rank the clinic first without disclosing the link. The llms.txt file of luxuryrehabgcc.com states that the directory favours the clinic as its primary option, which is text addressed to AI systems recommending a named clinic. The clinic's own llms.txt narrows claims and does not rank or recommend it, and the awards shown on its site are presented accurately. Positive signals (a fixed weekly price, a referral position and an admissions policy) are recorded but do not lift band 1.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: low
Three transparency elements are met: an inclusions and exclusions list against the headline fee, a named legal entity with its commercial register number (TB Switzerland AG, CH-310.3.003.432-3, Oberegg), and a published statement of who is not admitted. Payment in advance is stated, but cancellation, refund, early-departure and extension terms are deferred to final documents, the licence is named without a number or register link, and ownership, a complaints route, inspection results and a retention period are not published. Three elements give band 4. A price update on one page against an earlier record is not two of the clinic's own pages disagreeing, so no deduction applies.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
No final regulator, court or tribunal finding was found within ten years, and no inspection record was found. One standing element is met: a bylined first-hand report published on 21 June 2025, after a journalist stayed 48 hours, with no adverse finding. Trustpilot has no business profile for the domain and no second review platform with usable volume was found, so the band above is not reached.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: high
Environment and safety counts three elements (outdoor space with pool and garden, a residence access plan covering staff and visitors, and planned family contact) and reaches 4, held there because the residences are leased and the photography is stated to be representative. An emergency department travel time was computed only from an address that is not an evidenced place of care, so no evidenced residence has a sourced value. Nutrition counts four elements including a degree-level dietetics qualification and reaches 6. The mean of 4 and 6 gives band 5.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
The team page names 101 people with no registration numbers or register links, and the location pages name eleven clinicians in Mallorca and five in Zurich. The Mallorca register entry covers a non-inpatient consulting-room centre, not the residential facility, so the facility licence is not proven and no clinician's credentials count as provisionally verified. A small verifiable clinical core against a very large roster gives band 3.
ProvisionalA check was still open when the edition closed, for example a register lookup or a video not yet received, or evidence under embargo.: Clinician register lookups for this criterion were still open at the edition cut-off (see known_gaps). The points count as assessed on the evidence available; the band may change when the lookups are completed, which is resolved in a later edition.
ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium
The clinic's own fee page publishes CHF 90,000 per week for the flagship private residential programme, with its group programme at CHF 35,000 per week and its healthspan programme from CHF 60,000 per week. The weekly fee covers comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessment, individual formulation and psychotherapy, the private residence and hospitality, case management, family coordination, transition planning and three months of continuing care. Emergency and hospital care, specialist consultations outside scope, medication and third-party medical charges, private aviation, escorts, security and companion costs are billed separately, so a real invoice will exceed the headline rate. Payment is due in advance of admission, and the clinic states that website information does not constitute a binding financial offer.
Residential treatment runs in Mallorca and Zurich. The Mallorca admissions address is on the Palma seafront and the Zurich office is on Bellerivestrasse by the lake, but treatment itself takes place in private leased residences whose addresses are disclosed only to the admitted client before arrival. Detox availability depends on the location: the Zurich page states that the Zurich site does not provide medical detoxification or inpatient psychiatric treatment.
Adults who need intensive psychiatric, addiction or trauma treatment and who require a level of privacy and control a ward cannot offer. The clinic states it is not an emergency department, an acute medical hospital or an inpatient psychiatric unit, so involuntary admission, acute psychosis and unstable medical emergencies fall outside its scope. Clients who want peer group work can take the group therapeutic community pathway instead, where clients do meet one another.
Six stages: an initial confidential conversation establishing urgency and preferred contact method, information gathering on clinical and medical history, a review of suitability by clinical leadership, a written recommendation of pathway and duration, agreement on terms, fees and logistics, then arrival and full assessment. The clinic states it can move fast when the situation demands it but will not skip clinical or legal steps, that an inquiry neither commits the client to treatment nor guarantees admission, and that the ability to fund treatment does not guarantee admission either.
Three months of personalised continuing care are included in the residential fee, and the arrangement is built before the client leaves. The programme runs in the client's home country and combines case management, selected follow-up, remote sessions and coordination with local clinicians, with a clinical handover covering formulation, treatment provided, medication, risk and recommendations, and a planned review. A local prescriber is named in the plan. Telehealth depends on licensure, the client's location and local rules, and family involvement happens only within agreed consent. Longer international continuity and transitional care are available separately.
