About Ibiza Calm

Ibiza Calm treats a maximum of twelve clients at any one time on a thirteen-hectare private estate at Diseminado Aubarca in Sant Mateu d'Albarca, and it publishes both that number and its weekly prices, which almost nobody in this segment does. Founded by a clinical psychotherapist and an operations director, it admitted its first clients on 6 June 2015 in a four-bedroom finca and moved to the current estate in 2024.

The model is a well-resourced therapeutic community, not a concierge one. Clients live across an upper and a lower house, share a timetable, sit in groups of six to twelve and attend off-site mutual-support meetings, alongside individual counselling, psychiatric review and nursing staff on site each night. Evidence-based psychotherapy is layered with transcranial magnetic stimulation, equine work, yoga and art therapy. A third tier, La Casita, buys exclusive use of a standalone residence on the same shared estate, and the clinic frames it in its own words as the choice between receiving therapies privately there or joining the community of up to twelve residents in the main house.

What the clinic does not publish is as telling as what it does. No licence, authorisation or register number appears anywhere on its site; the Balearic and national health-centre registers could not be read; no legal operating entity, complaints route, refund term or record-retention period is published; and no clinician's professional registration number is given.

Clinic overview

Founded
The clinic's own news post records the first clients admitted on 6 June 2015, in a four-bedroom finca, with a relocation to the current estate in 2024.
Capacity
A maximum of 12 clients at any one time, stated consistently on the homepage, the About page, the detox page, the group-therapy page and the Spanish pages. Clients live across an upper and a lower house, and no per-house figure is published. La Casita is a standalone residence on the same estate, let for exclusive use.
Languages
English and Spanish are the two languages evidenced by named staff and by the site's own editions. French, Italian and Swedish appear page by page without naming the staff who deliver them.
Length of stay
A minimum of four weeks is recommended, billed by the week, so shorter stays are possible. The plan is built from the assessment carried out on arrival.

Our assessment

The credible base is roughly 24 verified reviews at 4.99 on a clinician review platform and 29 at 4.3 on a treatment directory, supported by sixteen dated, named reviews the clinic republishes on its own site. That is consistent, positive and modest for a ten-year-old clinic, with no sign of fabrication on the verifying platforms. No Trustpilot profile exists, the review URL returns HTTP 404, and the Google Business Profile could not be retrieved through a consent wall, so it is recorded as not verified rather than estimated. One provenance problem is recorded and excluded. A rehab-review directory displays 1,023 reviews at 5.0 for this clinic, which is not credible for a twelve-client facility with a 24 to 29 review footprint on larger, verifying platforms, and the same platform publishes an identical figure for unrelated clinics. It is excluded and is not cited anywhere. No award was found from any independent body. No national newspaper feature, broadcast profile or trade investigation was located in English or Spanish, and no first-hand bylined reporting from inside the facility was found.

No national or international newspaper, magazine or broadcast coverage was located in English or Spanish. The clinic's press presence consists of syndicated commercial releases distributed through a paid newswire, not earned editorial. The clinic launched a foundation in 2026, its first substantive public-facing initiative.

Facility

A thirteen-hectare private estate at Diseminado Aubarca in Sant Mateu d'Albarca, occupied since the 2024 relocation. The main building is styled as a traditional Ibicencan castle. Accommodation splits between an upper house and a lower house, all rooms individual deluxe ensuite, plus La Casita, a standalone residence let on exclusive use. The clinic's own gallery shows a low white complex in pine woodland with formal gardens, terraces and a pool, Mediterranean planting of palm, citrus and olive, working orchards that supply the kitchen, a herb garden added in 2025, a covered outdoor dining terrace, a yoga and movement studio under a timber roof, stone-walled bedrooms with beamed ceilings, and a room set out as a therapy circle of chairs. Stated plainly, this is a shared facility: twelve clients across two houses with common gardens, common dining and a common timetable. No spa, no indoor pool, no imaging or laboratory suite, no dedicated detox unit and no separate clinical building is described anywhere, and no dedicated therapy or consultation room is described in text. Equine work happens off site at a private farm in the hills of Santa Gertrudis. Gallery images carry no captions, so amenities cannot be verified one by one, and several gallery filenames reference the property the clinic left in 2024, so some published imagery may show the previous site. No independent record of the premises at the current address and no first-hand visit by a journalist was found.

Food

Three kitchen staff are named and photographed for a maximum of twelve clients. The head chef trained in Uruguay and worked in hotels in Montevideo, Punta del Este and Ibiza, and is described as adapting his cooking to each person's needs and preferences and building daily menus around balanced nutrition, cooking for clients and staff alike. The estate's organic orchards supply the kitchen and a herb garden was added in 2025. Nutritional evaluation forms part of the admission assessment, individual nutrition planning is listed among the inclusions, and the eating-disorder programme describes on-site meals prepared by professional chefs alongside collaborative nutrition support. Against that: no dietitian or nutritionist is named anywhere on the team page, although the Spanish bespoke-programme page claims dietitian support, so that claim has no named person behind it. No intolerance, micronutrient or metabolic testing is described, no method is published for building the plan from laboratory data, and no gourmet or fine-dining credential is claimed. Monitoring of the plan during the stay, dietary accommodations and nutrition education for afterwards are not published.

Privacy

one to one therapy

This is a communal model, and the clinic's own pages make that explicit. Up to twelve clients live across an upper and a lower house and share gardens, dining and recreational areas. Group therapy is core rather than optional: groups run at six to twelve members, and on the standard programme the morning timetable is compulsory. Off-site mutual-support meetings are included as standard across all programmes, which puts a client in a public room with members of the public, and no mitigation is described. La Casita is the only privacy tier and it buys exclusive use of one building on a shared estate. The clinic frames it in its own words as the choice between receiving therapies privately there and joining the community of up to twelve residents in the main house. It is a building, not separation from the client group. The policy framework is thin. No client NDA policy, alias or pseudonym practice, staff-vetting statement or visitor-control protocol is published. The strongest confidentiality language found is a group norm asking participants to respect the privacy of group discussions. The website privacy policy is a boilerplate notice covering cookies and comments; it names no data controller, no company and no address, and does not address clinical records. Genuine protections that do exist: a remote rural estate with no passing traffic, a private perimeter, no visible clinic signage, airport collection at any hour, and the option to accommodate a client's own staff or security on site. Documented incidents: none found. No leak of a client stay, press incident, regulatory complaint, lawsuit or data-protection enforcement action was found in English or Spanish.

C1 Client separation and occupancy · 5

All bedrooms are private, but on the standard Individual Care programme clients are brought together daily by group therapy, workshops and a compulsory morning programme in a shared main house community, which reaches band 4 for the standard offer. One point is added because La Casita is a separately priced sole-occupancy tier, a standalone residence on the estate where therapies can be received privately, giving band 5. The standard offer does not itself reach band 5, since that needs a smaller client number and a confidentiality measure beyond statute, and only a group-privacy norm is published. No deduction applied; bed or capacity figures were not used.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: medium

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:

  • Ibiza Calm: The group therapy page describes the choice to receive therapies privately within La Casita, or to join the resident community in the main house.
C2 Clinical governance and medical cover · 6

The Balearic register of health centres records centre 5965 at the estate address with a C.3.7 operating authorisation of 27 October 2025 whose care units include psychiatry and drug-dependence care, which meets the licence gate, and a psychiatrist Medical Director heads the medical team. Withdrawal management is delivered on site and a bipolar programme covering Bipolar I with psychosis is defined, giving two further elements and band 6. Band 7 needs a third element: published overnight cover is nursing only with no physician or psychiatrist on site or on call, the homepage says the local hospital can be accessed but names none, no physician is named for non-psychiatric care at the site, and no accreditation appears on an accreditor's own register.

ConfidenceHow well the evidence supports the score.: high

Known gapsFacts the assessment needed but could not establish.:
  • The authorisation is not a hospital or residential-admission class; whether it covers residential stays is unresolved.
  • Third-party listings describe the clinic as accredited by Spain's Ministry of Health; the register shows an authorisation, not an accreditation.
  • The element reading for this criterion is not published as a list; the band is explained in the reasoning.

C3 Diagnostic depth on admission · 6

A full physical and psychiatric evaluation on arrival, a medication review and full assessments including blood work are published, at a site whose Medical Director is a psychiatrist. These elements give band 6. The admission steps before commitment are a call on timeline and costs and a telephone assessment with no clinician type named, so no clinical pre-commitment screening counts, and no specialist diagnostic or written formulation given to the client is published, which keeps it below band 7.

  • Ibiza Calm: Comprehensive health screening is listed among the inclusions as full assessments including blood work, personalised nutrition planning and a tailored fitness programme.
  • Ibiza Calm: Admission runs in three steps: a call on timeline, suitability and costs, a telephone assessment with the client, then a date set. Neither pre-admission step is described as a psychiatric, medical or psychological assessment and no clinician type is named.
C4 Clinical intensity · 3

The one-to-one therapy page says the number of individual sessions is agreed with the therapist, and the standard Individual Care tier is read as two one-to-one sessions a week, which is band 3 (one to two sessions a week) and the same band a no-count reading gives. The five-session figure applies only to the Full Bespoke tier, and the standard offer is scored. The team is pooled (one Medical Director, five nurses and six therapeutic staff for all clients), the group share is not published and no clinician is stated to stay overnight.

  • Ibiza Calm: The team page lists one Medical Director, five nurses and six therapeutic staff, with no team dedicated to a single client.
C5 Continuity and aftercare · 5

Exit and aftercare planning is part of every programme and included in the weekly fee, it is delivered by the clinic itself, a family component is offered, and a residential clinical support option after treatment is described. These four elements give band 5. No remote or home aftercare service, duration, format, psychiatric follow-up or coordination with outside doctors is published, which keeps it below the band above.

C7 Transparency toward the client · 1

No transparency element is met. Inclusions are listed per tier but exclusions are not, and no deposit, payment, refund, cancellation, extension or early-departure term appears on any live page. A 2024 programme PDF that carried a deposit and a no-refund clause has been withdrawn, and a withdrawn document is not a current statement of terms. C8 Track record and regulator standing · 5

No final regulator, court or tribunal outcome was found in English or Spanish, and no allegation is recorded. The 27 October 2025 register entry is an authorisation date, not an inspection, and neither register publishes an inspection, so no inspection standing is established. There is no first-hand bylined reporting, and only one verifying review platform (Doctify, all displayed reviews five-star with no practice response) with no Trustpilot profile. The setting sub-score reaches 5 on four elements: the estate's outdoor space and gardens, named housekeeping and maintenance roles, a family visit arrangement and a public register record of the licensed address (centre 5965 at the same estate address as the contact page). No emergency department element is met, since the clinic names no hospital or travel time and no verified 24-hour emergency department was found near the location, and no medication policy is published. Nutrition reaches 4 on chef-prepared meals in a personalised plan with a nutritional evaluation for eating-disorder clients; no nutrition professional is named. The mean of 4.5 rounds half up to 5.

C10 Clinical seniority and academic standing · 3

The team page publishes a named roster. With the facility authorisation now proven on a public register, the credentials of the psychiatrist Medical Director and seven other named clinicians (psychologists, a family therapist, an international medical consultant and nurses) are accepted provisionally under the regulated-activity rule, which gives band 3 and meets the full-relevance core gate. The band rests on the Medical Director alone, so it does not depend on the other open lookups. No credential was confirmed directly on a register, psychotherapist titles are not registered titles in Spain, and no academic standing is verified, which keeps it below band 4; no capacity figure was used.

ProvisionalA check was still open when the edition closed, for example a register lookup or a video not yet received, or evidence under embargo.: Clinician register lookups for this criterion were still open at the edition cut-off (see known_gaps). • apps.caib.es: The Balearic register of health centres and the national REGCESS listing record the clinic's C.3.7 operating authorisation of 27 October 2025, which proves the facility licence on a public register.

Frequently asked questions

What does treatment at Ibiza Calm cost?

The clinic publishes its prices, which is unusual in this segment. The Individual Care Programme is EUR 10,000 per week and the Full Bespoke Care Programme is EUR 15,000 per week, both including a deluxe private ensuite room, therapy, meals, activities and medical cover. The La Casita Bespoke Programme, which adds exclusive use of a standalone residence, is priced on application, and the clinic publishes no figure for it. A four-week minimum stay is recommended. No deposit, payment, refund, cancellation, extension or early-departure term is published, and no insurance arrangement is confirmed by the clinic, so budget as self-pay and settle the terms in writing first.

On a thirteen-hectare private estate at Diseminado Aubarca 22, Sant Mateu d'Albarca, in the rural north of Ibiza, occupied since 2024. The setting is farmland and Mediterranean gardens rather than the coastal resort strip, with the airport roughly half an hour away. Equine therapy takes place off site at a private farm in the hills of Santa Gertrudis. A Sloane Square address in London is an enquiries office, not a treatment site.

Who is the clinic designed for?

People who want a well-staffed, clinically real residential programme in a beautiful private setting, and who are comfortable being treated alongside up to eleven other clients. The scope covers alcohol and drug dependence, prescription-drug addiction, gambling and sex addiction, eating disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, burnout and codependency, including dual diagnosis. It is the wrong choice for anyone whose first requirement is that no other client ever sees them: group work is core, the morning timetable is compulsory on the standard programme, and off-site mutual-support meetings are included as standard.

How does admission work and how long is the wait?

Three steps: an initial telephone consultation covering suitability, timing and cost, a telephone assessment with the client, then a confirmed admission date with collection from the airport at any hour and a greeting from the clinical team. A full physical and psychiatric evaluation is carried out on arrival and the treatment plan is built from it. For a reluctant client the clinic runs an intervention service and can provide sober companions to escort someone from home. No waiting time is published. Before committing, ask for the Balearic health-centre authorisation number and the Medical Director's professional registration number, neither of which is published.

What happens after discharge?

Every programme includes structured exit and aftercare planning within the weekly fee, plus a family component, and the clinic describes itself as a stable point of contact providing ongoing support. A residential clinical support option after the main treatment is offered within the operator. What is not published on the clinic's own site is the duration or format of aftercare, whether psychiatric review and medication management continue after discharge, whether the clinic coordinates with the client's own doctors, or any structured contact period. No completion, relapse or follow-up data is published, so the effectiveness of the pathway cannot be verified independently.
